September is National Preparedness Month, and the mission of the American Red Cross is to help the public prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. One way you can support this mission is to become a regular blood donor, and there are several blood drives around the local area this week to give you an opportunity to Give The Gift Of Life. Today (MON) the Bloodmobile will be at South Central College in North Mankato from 10am to 3pm, and on Tuesday at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson from Noon to 6. On Wednesday there’s a blood drive at the Gaylord American Legion from 1 to 7 p-m, and the Red Cross Headquarters on Homestead Drive in Mankato is hosting blood drives from 12:30 to 5:30 on Wednesday and Thursday and 9 to 1 on Friday. The St. James National Guard Armory is also hosting blood drives this week, from 1 to 7 on Thursday and 8 to Noon on Friday, and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Glencoe has a blood drive from 1 to 6 on Friday.
