A Gaylord man was seriously injured and two others suffered non-life threatening injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Sibley County Sunday afternoon. 53-year-old Robert Vanorden of Gaylord was taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale for treatment. The State Patrol says Vanorden was eastbound on Highway 5 and had stopped to make a left turn when his Honda Accord was rear-ended by a Ford Taurus driven by 16-year-old Camerae Kellermann of Arlington. She was taken to the Sibley Medical Center in Arlington for treatment. A passenger in Vanorden’s vehicle, 56-year-old Jerri Thomas of Crystal, was taken to North Memorial with non-life-threatening injuries. The crash happened at around 12:15pm Sunday at the intersection of Highway 5 and Sibley County Road 13.
An Arlington woman was injured in a car crash on the west end of Arlington Sunday afternoon. It happened at just after 3pm at the intersection of 411th and 236th Streets. 66-year-old Regina Ploeger was driving a Honda CR-V westbound when she collided with a southbound Dodge Caravan driven by 17-year-old Elizabeth Becker of Winthrop. Ploeger was taken to the Sibley Medical Center in Arlington with injuries described as being non life-threatening. Becker and her passengers, 42-year-old Laura Becker and 5-year-old Maegan Becker, all escaped injury.
