An Elko man was injured in a motorcycle accident just east of St. James Thursday afternoon. The State Patrol says that 45-year-old Troy Nielson was driving a 2007 Harley Davidson westbound on Highway 60 when he lost control of the bike just before 5pm and it went into the median and rolled. Nielson suffered non life-threatening injuries in the crash and was taken to the St. James Medical Center for treatment. He was not wearing a helmet.
A Waseca woman suffered non life-threatening injuries in a rollover accident near Waterville early this (FRI) morning. It happened at around 3:10am on Highway 13 just south of Highway 60. Forty-four-year-old Sheila Bumsted was driving a 1993 Saturn southbound when she lost control and the vehicle rolled into the ditch. She was taken to the Mankato Mayo Hospital for treatment. The State Patrol says that alcohol was detected in her system.
