Twins Play KC Tonight 27 Aug 13

The Twins return home to open a three-game series with the Kansas City Royals tonight at Target Field.  Kevin Correia gets the ball for Minnesota.  He is 8-and-10 with a 4.52 ERA in 25 starts this season.  KC will counter with James Shields, who is 8-and-8 with a 3.22 ERA.  The Twins were idle yesterday, while Kansas City thumped Tampa Bay 11-1.

 Royals Rough Up Rays

Kansas City’s Billy Butler went 3-for-3 with a home run to pace a 13-hit attack as the Royals roughed up the Rays 11-1 in a makeup game at Kauffman Stadium.  Salvador Perez also homered and knocked in four for KC, which won its second straight after a seven-game skid.  Jeremy Guthrie pitched five innings of one-run ball for his 13th win.  The Royals are in Minneapolis to face the Twins tonight.
