Southern Minnesota Congressman Tim Walz will be in New Ulm on today (WED) for a “Conservation Potluck” lunch with local and state leaders. It begins at 11am on the banks of the Minnesota River in New Ulm’s Riverside Park. Representative Walz will be discussing coalition building and preserving our natural state treasures, including the Minnesota River Valley. He will also be bringing his award winning “Hermann the German Hotdish” to serve during the potluck, made with local ingredients from New Ulm. Walz is the Ranking Member of the House Agriculture Subcommittee on Conservation, Energy, and Forestry. Expected to join him at Riverside Park today is local DNR Regional Director Dennis Frederickson, New Ulm Mayor Bob Beussman, Minnesota River Advocate Scott Sparlin, and many more leaders in the conservation field.
