The bull that got loose and injured nine people at the Dakota County Fair on Wednesday has been slaughtered. Owner Scott VanDerGeest of the Gold Medal Cattle Company in Merrill, Wisconsin says that the rodeo animal was a very expensive bull, but the price of the animal wasn’t worth people getting hurt. Barbara Goggins of Cottage Grove was airlifted to a hospital with a possible head injury. Her condition has since been upgraded to satisfactory. A Dakota County Sheriff’s Deputy fired two shots at the animal when it ran him down. He was treated for minor injuries and released. Seven others received minor injuries as well.
