Renville Man Gets Prison Sentence 28 Aug 13

A Renville County man has been sentenced to nearly 4 years in prison for selling methamphetamine. 22-year-old Tanner William Jarvis of Renville was sentenced to 41 months in the State Correctional Facility in St. Cloud for selling meth to a member of the Brown-Lyon-Redwood Drug Task Force on two occasions in the fall of 2012. He pleaded guilty to a charge of 2nd-degree drug sales, and as part of a plea agreement, an additional charge of failure to register as a predatory offender was dismissed.  Jarvis was convicted of 5th-degree non-consensual criminal sexual conduct with a person more than 2 years younger than him in 2008 at the age of 17, and has committed numerous other crimes since then, including at least 4 DWIs.
