New Prague Fatal Power Line Accident 15 Aug 13

More information has been released on a fatal accident involving workers with the CapX 2020 high-voltage power line project falling into a 50-foot hole near New Prague on Wednesday. Great River Energy Spokesperson Randy Fordice says that workers were installing a foundation for poles north of New Prague when there was some sort of equipment failure. The accident remains under investigation. The worker who was injured in the accident was 37-year-old Jeremy Moye of Machesney, Illinois. He was treated and released. The man who died was 28-year-old Robert Fenstermacher of Oologah, Oklahoma. Authorities say he died from head injuries. The accident happened at just before 9am along Scott County Road 2. OSHA inspectors were on the scene by Wednesday afternoon.
