Three teens are charged with murder in the death of a church volunteer who was found strangled and stabbed in her Willmar home, and one of the boys was the victim’s grandson. 19-year-old Brok Junkermeier was charged with intentional second-degree murder Friday in Kandiyohi County. 16-year-old Devon Jenkins and 17-year-old Robert Warwick also face charges for the death of 79-year-old Lila Warwick, whose body was found Monday night after authorities went to check on her welfare. Robert Warwick had reportedly told the others that he believed his grandmother had $40,000 in a safe, so they plotted to steal it. Junkermeier allegedly broke into Warwick’s home, cut her with a sword-like knife and forced her to write out a $1,500 check. Investigators say that he then apparently strangled her, stabbed her repeatedly, and threw her down some stairs.
