A Glencoe man that the State Patrol initially reported was killed in a motorcycle accident in Winona County Wednesday morning is apparently alive and well. The accident happened at just after 11am on Highway 61. 59-year-old James Eiden was pulling out of the Dresbach Rest Area when his Harley Davidson Roadster collided with a northbound Toyota Rav-4 driven by a 23-year-old La Crescent man in a construction zone on the highway. Eiden was taken to the hospital in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Wednesday afternoon the State Patrol had reported that it was a fatal crash, but now says that Eiden is being treated for non life-threatening injuries. His wife was a passenger on the motorcycle also. 59-year-old Michele Eiden of Glencoe was also hospitalized in La Crosse with non life-threatening injuries. The driver of the SUV and his passenger were not hurt.
