Excessive Heat Warning Continues 28 Aug 13

Communities across Minnesota continue to experience record-setting high temperatures this week, and an Excessive Heat Warning remains in effect until Midnight tonight (WED). Physicians says that it’s important to stay hydrated throughout the day and avoid the extremes of the heat during the afternoon, and watch for the symptoms of heat-related illness, including dizziness, feeling weak or clammy, and having a dry mouth. If you experience any of these then take a break from the heat immediately. New Ulm reached 91-degrees on Tuesday, a few degrees short of the record, but the Heat Index topped 100 across the southern third of the state.
