The man who was the object of several manhunts in Blue Earth County while he evaded custody for several weeks made an appearance in court Tuesday. 31-year-old Jacob Friedrichs was eventually found at his girlfriend’s home after fleeing from police several times. He is facing felony charges of 1st-degree assault and fleeing police in a motor vehicle after allegedly running into a county squad car in late June while the deputy stood next to the vehicle. He’s also facing 2 counts of financial card fraud for an incident in February. In court on Tuesday, prosecutors announced that there will be even more charges coming out against Friedrichs in the future as well, along with possible charges against those who helped him evade arrest. His next court hearing is set for late September.
