Zebra Mussels In Central MN 15 Jul 13

Invasive zebra mussels have been discovered in two central Minnesota lakes. Officials at the Department of Natural Resources say the adult mussels were found in Cross and Lower Hay Lakes. Boaters and property owners are being urged to take precautions to prevent the spread of the aquatic invasive species. And inspectors will be stationed at water accesses in the area to check boats going into and coming out of the water.
