The Colorado roommate of a St. Peter native whose body was found recently after being missing for nearly 5 months was arrested Monday and charged with murder. 52-year-old Leann “Annie” Meyer disappeared in late February, and her remains were discovered on July 4th near a cabin more than 100 miles from the house she shared with Melissa Miller in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Miller had been named a person of interest by police even before Meyer’s body was found. Investigators then reportedly found other evidence at the cabin that led to Miller being arrested for murder. She had previously refused to cooperate with the investigation, and had hired an attorney. Miller also recently released a videotaped conversation in which she is seen saying she loved Annie Meyer more than anyone, and insists that she gave “the cops” leads. She’s being held without bond.
