The annual National Night Out Rally is taking place today (MON) at the Brown County Fairgrounds in New Ulm. It’s being held from 5 to 8pm, and includes a variety of activities for kids and adults, including a moon bounce, a National Guard obstacle course, informational displays, a dunk tank and several emergency vehicles on display. There will also be demonstrations by the New Ulm Fire Department on fighting kitchen flash fires. The Minnesota Department of Public Safety will have a distracted drivers course set up at the Rally today as well, and there will also be live music and food. The event seeks to raise awareness about police programs in the community including neighborhood watch and other anti-crime efforts. There is no Monday Night Concert in the Park in New Ulm today due to the National Night Out Rally activities at the fairgrounds, which are free to attend.
