CAMBRIA: Fireworks at dusk on Wednesday followed by a street dance. The community potluck picnic gets underway at noon Thursday in the park shelter. The annual parade begins at 1 p-m Thursday, followed by a patriotic program.

GIBBON: The Gibbon Area Uncommon Band of Renown holds an Independence Day Celebration on Friday in the Gibbon City Park. Activities start at 6pm with patriotic crafts, an all-ages kickball game, a patriotic concert, a children’s march, and food.

HANSKA: Softball tournaments will be played all day Thursday, and continue Friday evening and all day Saturday. Fireworks begin at dusk on Thursday.

MORTON: A parade takes place beginning at 10am Thursday, followed by family fun all day. Activities include kid’s games, bingo, music, crafts, a pedal-pull, a pork chop dinner, raffles, museum tours, an Independence Day program, and fireworks at dusk.

NEW ULM: Live music with the Wendinger Band, the Concord Singers, the Schell’s Hobo Band, Dain’s Dutchmen and Adam’s Jammers takes place from 11-7 in Turner Hall Park. Food and beverages will be available.

ST. PETER: The annual parade starts at 10am Thursday, followed by activities at Minnesota Square Park from 12-4 that includes a hot dog eating contest, food vendors, a magician, pony rides, a kiddie train, inflatable games and a water slide. The fireworks display begins at 10pm at the Nicollet County Fairgrounds.

SLEEPY EYE: Events begin at 8am Thursday with a bicycle ride around the lake, starting and ending in Allison Park. A burger feed with old-time music takes place from 11-7 in Allison Park. The fireworks display begins at dusk.

WASECA: Activities begin with the Lakefest Freedom Run, and continue all day in Clear Lake Park. Highlights include live entertainment from 3:30-9:30, food vendors, a boat parade, and a fireworks show at dusk.
