The former staff member at a Hutchinson charter school accused of having sex with students was sentenced Tuesday in McLeod County Court. 29-year-old Stephen Michael Noga pleaded guilty to 2 counts of 3rd-degree criminal sexual conduct. He was arrested at the New Century Charter School in Hutchinson in March after authorities learned he had been having sexual relationships with 2 girls while working in the school’s Information Technology Department. In court today, Noga was sentenced to 36-months in prison for the crimes, which was stayed for the 15 years he will be on supervised probation. He was ordered to serve 9 months in jail as well, but may serve it as work release. Noga will also be required to register as a sex offender, may have no contact with the victims or any underage females, may not possess pornography or use the internet, and may not own a cell phone with picture-taking capabilities, amongst numerous other conditions.
