Wolves Prep For Draft, Play In Mexico 26 Jun 13

Timberwolves president of basketball operations Flip Saunders continues to prepare for Thursday’s NBA Draft. Saunders says he feels the overall draft pool is a talented one, but he does not foresee there being a superstar player in the group. Minnesota has the No. 9 overall pick, as well as the 26th selection. In addition, the team has two picks in the second-round. The draft is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. tomorrow night in Brooklyn.

The Minnesota Timberwolves will play a regular season NBA game in Mexico City next season. The Wolves have given up a home game at Target Center for a game against the San Antonio Spurs to be played in Mexico City on December 4th. The game is part of the NBA Global Games schedule that now includes 12 NBA teams playing in eight international cities in six countries. Other NBA games involving other NBA teams will take place in England, Brazil, the Philippines, China, Turkey and Japan.
