MN State Golf

Day one of the two-day 2013 Minnesota High School State Golf Championships is complete. The final and deciding round is set for today at various locations across the state. In Class 3-A boys action, Wayzata holds a two-shot lead on Forest Lake, with William Leaf of Winona holding the individual lead. The Class 3-A girls leaderboard shows Edina holding a four-shot lead over Alexandria, with defending champ New Prague in third place. Alex Schmid of Shakopee and Sarah Burnham of Wayzata hold the individual lead. The 3-A tourney is being held at Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids. The 2-A boys field is headed up by Staples-Motley with Jordan Peters of Delano atop the leaderboard. The 2-A girls top team after day one is defending champ Detroit Lakes with Natalie Roth of Detroit Lakes leading the way individually. The 2-A tourney is taking place at Ridges at Sand Creek in Jordan. And, the 1-A leaderboard is headed up by Mille Lacs on the boys side with Grant Exsted of Mille Lacs on top. The top 1-A girls team is Badger-Greenbush-Middle River with Hannah Kruger of Russell-Tyler-Ruthten on top. The 1-A event is happening at Pebble Creek Golf Club in Becker.
