New Ulm Man Killed In Crash 01 Jun 13

A 35-year-old New Ulm man was killed in a crash on Highway 14 in Waseca County Friday afternoon. Tyson Raitz was driving a Toyota Celica westbound on 14 between Janesville and Waseca near the Crystal Valley Co-op when he apparently lost control of the car at just after 4:30pm and it went off the road and collided with 2 unoccupied parked semi-trucks. Raitz was not wearing a seatbelt, and emergency responders performed CPR on site for at least 20 minutes before he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Janesville Fire Department assisted the Waseca County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota State Patrol.
