The Minnesota Supreme Court is getting back to capacity with the installment of new Justice David Lillehaug. he’s the second appointee of Governor Mark Dayton to the state’s seven-member high court. Lillehaug is a former US attorney for Minnesota and a lawyer with deep ties to Democratic politics. He was taking his oath this (FRI) afternoon at a ceremony in Minneapolis. Lillehaug replaces Justice Paul Anderson, who retired last month. He is the 91st person to hold the title of Supreme Court justice in Minnesota. Lillehaug revealed last month that he was diagnosed with throat cancer. But he says it was caught early, is localized and is highly curable.
