A motorcycle chase with authorities through Mankato on Thursday ended with a 47-year-old man being arrested at gunpoint. Randall Ralph Burns of Mankato was spotted speeding on Madison Avenue and a high-speed chase ensued that led police through alleys and streets before ending near the Mankato Clinic. The turbo-charged Harley Davidson allegedly hit speeds of upwards of 60 miles-per-hour during the chase, and at one point Burns almost hit a passing car, a crash that would have likely have been deadly for him since he wasn’t wearing a helmet. When he was finally stopped near the hospital, Burns was taken into custody without incident. He’s facing a felony charge of fleeing police in a motor vehicle as well as reckless driving.
