A Mankato man is accused of making terroristic threats against a police officer. Authorities say that the incident occurred near the Mankato Public Safety Center Friday night. A police officer allegedly saw 50-year-old David Marshall Nelson waving his arms and yelling at people, as well as using racial slurs. His blood-alcohol content was determined to be .307, or nearly 4 times the legal limit for driving, and while waiting to be taken to detox Nelson allegedly told an officer that he had a gun. No gun was found, and Nelson was transferred to the Blue Earth County Jail on Monday. His next court hearing is set for June 13th.
