Authorities have released the names of those involved in an apparent homicide in Mankato late Thursday morning. 24-year-old Levi Minissale of Minneapolis is being charged with 2nd-degree murder and 2nd-degree assault for the alleged crime. Authorities responding to a home on Second Avenue in Mankato found 20-year-old Yesenia Gonzalez dead, and her 26-year-old husband with multiple stab wounds. He has since been released from the hospital. A knife was reportedly recovered on the premises, and Minissale was arrested a short time later at the nearby Holiday gas station on Riverfront Drive. Authorities say that Minissale had apparently been involved in a relationship with Gonzalez for some time. He’s due back in court on June 20th. Police were assisted at the scene by the Blue Earth, Nicollet and LeSueur County Sheriff’s Offices, the Minnesota State Patrol and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
