Motorists travelling on Highway 15 between New Ulm and Winthrop should expect brief delays beginning today (FRI) as crews apply the top surface to the roadway. Motorists are advised to drive with caution through the work zone and watch for workers, equipment and traffic control devices until the resurfacing is complete in about two weeks. The project initially began late last construction season, and consists of a mill and overlay of the driving surface as well as improvements to the shoulders and guardrail. A final seal coat will be applied later this summer as well. Central Specialties of Alexandria is the contractor on the $6.6-million project.
