A multi-million dollar expansion project at New Ulm’s August Schell Brewery has been postponed. The first phase of the project had been scheduled to get underway this week, but has reportedly been delayed by at least 30-days because of an issue with the design. No date has been set at this time for the $2-million project’s groundbreaking. The work will involve creating a new room and adding on to the brewhouse as well as installing new beer tanks. The expansion will increase Schell’s brewing capacity by 100,000 barrels a year.
