Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton is expected to sign a bill into law today (TUE) that legalizes same-sex marriage in the state. He’s scheduled to do so during a ceremony at 5pm on the front steps of the Capitol in St. Paul. The state senate approved the Freedom to Marry Bill on Monday by a 37-30 margin. The House passed it last week. Once Dayton signs the legislation, Minnesota will become the 12th state to allow same-sex marriage. The new law will take effect August 1st.
