The Minnesota Wild had the entire day off yesterday, as head coach Mike Yeo did not hold a practice. Minnesota skated by the Kings 2-1 on Tuesday night to move a step closer to a postseason bid. The Wild are in seventh-place in the NHL Western Conference, one-point ahead of eighth-place Detroit, a team that beat the Kings 3-1 last night. Minnesota can clinch a playoff spot with a win Friday night at home against Edmonton. Edmonton lost to Chicago 4-1 last night. The Wild will have a midday practice skate tomorrow at the Xcel Energy Center.
