A Waseca man is facing multiple charges after allegedly assaulting several law enforcement officials this week. Authorities say that 50-year-old Jimmie Julius Herman confronted an officer at a Waseca bar Tuesday night and was hit with a stun gun and became unresponsive. Herman was then brought to the Mankato Mayo Hospital, and after being treated he allegedly punched a Waseca police officer in the face and choked a hospital security guard. A Blue Earth County sheriff’s deputy was also involved in the scuffle as Herman was taken into custody. He made his first appearance in court on Thursday on felony charges of assault, assault of a peace officer and terroristic threats. Bail has been set at $150,000 without conditions or $20,000 with conditions.
