A Sleepy Eye woman was injured in a 2-vehicle crash just outside of Sleepy Eye Friday morning. It happened at around 10:20am at the intersection of Highway 14 and Brown County Road 27. The State Patrol says that 58-year-old Donan Hemming of Sleepy Eye was driving a Chevy pickup northwest on 27 when he collided with a Subaru Forester driven by 47-year-old Patricia English-Scheider of Sleepy Eye. The Subaru was travelling eastbound on 14 at the time of the crash. Hemming was not hurt, and English-Schneider was treated for minor injuries at the Sleepy Eye Medical Center.
A Sleepy Eye woman is recovering after being injured in a rollover accident in Brown County Friday night. 55-year-old Rita Mae Fahse was driving on County Road 24 just west of Highway 4 when the accident happened at just after 10pm. She reportedly hit a patch of slush and ice and lost control of her Olds Cutlass Supreme, causing it to go into the south ditch. Fahse suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital by a private party. The vehicle was totaled.
