The Twins split their day-night doubleheader with the Marlins yesterday, taking the opener 4-3 before dropped in the nightcap 8-5. Rookie Oswaldo Arcia hit a three-run homer to power Minnesota to a 4-3 victory in the opener. It was Arcia’s first Major League home run and gave the Twins a 4-2 lead. Kevin Correia worked seven strong innings to earn the win, while Glen Perkins notched the save. The Twins were not as fortunate in the evening game, as Mike Pelfrey took the loss after giving up five runs in four-and-two-thirds innings. The Twins open up a four-game series with Texas tomorrow. The Rangers are in Anaheim tonight to face the Angels.
