Spring finally arrived in Minnesota on Friday. Minnesotans said farewell to their heavy jackets as temperatures in the southern part of the state rose above 70-degrees. In New Ulm it got up to 72-degrees officially. That was the first time we’ve had a 70-degree reading in New Ulm since October 4th, nearly 7 months ago, when it hit 78. Just earlier this week we were digging out from yet another spring snowfall that brought several inches of sloppy snow to the area. Now it’s time for wearing shorts and firing up the backyard grill. The warm spell is forecast to continue through the weekend.
