New Golden Gopher men’s basketball coach Richard Pitino says he will put a Minnesota team on the floor that will run and press whenever it can. The 30-year-old Pitino, who is the son of Louisville coach Rick Pitino, says he envisions a Gopher gameplan that will feature a full court press after every made basket and an opportunity to run up and down the floor on offense. He says his father has used that style successfully for years and he will try to do the same. The new Gopher coach was introduced at Williams Arena yesterday.
