Jury selection began Monday in the Timothy Huber murder trial in Kandiyohi County Court. The 47-year-old Paynesville man is charged with murder for the October 2011 shooting death of 43-year-old Tim Larson of Albertville at Larson’s father’s farm. It happened after Larson had an argument with Huber and Huber’s father, Delbert concerning whether Tim Larson allowed strangers to hunt on the Huber’s property. Last August, 82-year-old Delbert Huber admitted to shooting Larson and pleaded guilty to 2nd-Degree Murder. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison. The state is now trying to prove that Tim Huber knew his father was going to shoot Larson, or even encouraged him to do so. The trial is scheduled to last three weeks.
