The public will have its first look at the new $975-million Vikings stadium next month. Architects plan to unveil the preliminary design for the 65,000-seat, multipurpose stadium May 13th at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis. The stadium will be on the same site as the team’s current home, the Metrodome, which will be torn down. All of the details of the new building will reportedly be revealed during the unveiling. The stadium financing legislation approved last year calls for the building to include 7,500 club seats, 150 suites and space for gift shops, restaurants and an NFL team museum and Hall of Fame.
