The City of Arlington will soon have a new city administrator. The search for a new administrator for Arlington has been underway for several months following the resignation of Matt Jaunich in early February. He left to become the first-ever administrator for Sibley County, and Cynthia Smith-Strack has been serving as Interim Arlington Administrator since that time. Interviews with the 5 finalists for the position were held late last week, and earlier this week the Arlington City Council announced that the community’s new administrator will be Liza M. Donabauer. She will officially begin her new duties in Arlington on June 4th. Donabauer most recently served as the city clerk for the City of Clearwater, Kansas, and has previous experience working in government in Wright County, Long Lake, Medina, and Minnetrista, along with several private-sector jobs. The search for a new administrator cost the City of Arlington approximately $18,800.
