Milk production declined across most of the nation in February, but only slightly in Minnesota. The state’s dairy farmers produced a total of 728-million pounds of milk, a 1% dip. The production decreases were more pronounced in the other dairy-producing states, especially in California, which saw an 8% drop. Wisconsin dairy farmers harvested 2.2-billion pounds of milk in February, essentially unchanged from the same time last year. Nationwide, milk production fell 3% to 14.6-billion pounds.
