An Austin man accused of assaulting a woman in Mankato in late January and then robbing a man on the street before leading police on a high-speed car chase was sentenced to a year in jail and 10 years of supervised probation in Blue Earth County Court Friday. 22-year-old Jordan Lee Hernandez Cox pleaded guilty to 1st-degree robbery and additional charges of robbery and assault were dismissed. A 39-month prison sentence was stayed for 10-years and he was given credit for the 263 days he has already served in jail. Cox was also ordered to pay over $4,000 in restitution and has numerous conditions to fulfill to remain free. His Blue Earth County sentence will be served concurrently with a robbery conviction in Mower County in which he was sentenced to 15 years of probation.
