A Danube man has been accused of financial exploitation of a vulnerable adult in Brown County. 65-year-old Terrance J. Rickers faces 4 felony counts of the crime for allegedly spending around $6,000 of the Springfield man’s money without his permission. Rickers had been in charge of the victim’s finances since 2004, but reportedly began using the money to pay his own bills and expenses. Brown County Family Services provided bank statements and copies of checks confirming this, and Rickers has reportedly admitted to the crimes. He told authorities he had been a victim of theft himself, and had incurred additional financial problems due to a DWI conviction.
