Lawsuit Against Minnesota Senate 27 Apr 13

Former GOP staffer Michael Brodkorb is suing the Minnesota Senate for at least $600,000 in past and future lost wages. The lawsuit filed Thursday also asks for an unspecified amount of money for alleged pain and suffering. Brodkorb made about $90,000 a year as an aide to Senate Majority Leader Amy Koch, until he was fired the day after she resigned her leadership post and admitted to having an “inappropriate relationship” with a male staffer. The case is expected to go to trial in mid-June, and both sides have expressed a preference for mediation.
