A major manhunt over the weekend has led to the arrest of a suspect in the stabbing of a woman in the City of Faribault. Authorities say that 27-year-old Shane Alan Wilson stabbed his 26-year-old girlfriend several times before fleeing Saturday afternoon. The woman was unresponsive when police found her in a vehicle stalled near the police station. Officers also found two children inside. Neither child was hurt. The victim later told police she was stabbed during a domestic argument. Authorities believe that Wilson stole a car during his escape and later set it on fire on a gravel road off Highway 14 on the Steele-Waseca county line. The search for him involved several area law enforcement agencies, as well as a State Patrol helicopter. He was arrested in the same general area at about 1pm Sunday and remains in custody.
