Fairmont Arson Not Guilty Plea 02 Apr 13

A Fairmont man facing arson and terroristic threats charges pleaded Not Guilty in court on Monday, and the case will now go to trial. 20-year-old Timothy Jude Brickner is accused of starting a fire in the gym of the Lincoln School in Fairmont last April, and of later allegedly making threats towards a Fairmont Police Officer on Facebook. No one was injured in the fire at the school, and it was extinguished by the building’s sprinkler system. Brickner faces up to 20 years in prison for the crime. His alleged post on Facebook directed at the investigating officer supposedly stated that there would be “A Body Count” if he were convicted of arson. Brickner pleaded Not Guilty to the 2 felony counts on Monday, as well as misdemeanor reporting a false crime. No trial dates have been set at this time.
