The Vikings parted ways with veteran cornerback Antoine Winfield as the new league year officially began yesterday. Winfield was set to make 7.25-million-dollars this coming season. The Vikings also re-signed fullback Jerome Felton, linebacker Erin Henderson, wide receiver Devin Aromashodu, safety Jamarca Sanford and tackle Phil Loadholt to contract extensions.
The Vikings officially traded wide receiver Percy Harvin to Seattle yesterday. The Vikings receive a first and seventh-round draft pick this year and a third-round selection in 2014. Harvin is in the final year of his rookie contract and had been unhappy with his situation in Minnesota.
