The latest winter storm that began early Monday continues, with the snowfall becoming steady and heavy in many areas overnight. The Minnesota Department of Transportation was reporting difficult driving conditions across much of the local area this (TUE) morning, and motorists are advised to drive with extra caution. Several inches of snow have already fallen across southern and central Minnesota, and it’s expected to keep falling into the afternoon. Forecasters expect up to a foot in some areas, and the wind will also likely be a factor. New Ulm had received over 7-inches of snow as of early this morning over the course of the storm.
