A Le Sueur man faces felony assault charges for allegedly bludgeoning and stabbing a 17-year-old St. Peter boy. The victim told police that 18-year-old Noel Galvan Jr struck him repeatedly in the head with a metal baseball bat, and also stabbed him in the back twice with a butcher knife at the Marway Mobile Home Park in St. Peter. The youth was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. Witnesses say that the incident stemmed from an altercation at a party, and at the time identified different people as the attacker. An anonymous tip to police two weeks later identified Galvan as the perpetrator. His initial court date is pending.
