A New Ulm woman accused of making hundreds of dollars worth of unauthorized purchases on a company Visa card was convicted of felony credit card fraud on Tuesday. 24-year-old Tiffany Rae Corbett pleaded guilty to financial transaction card fraud in Brown County Court and was sentenced to 15 days in jail and 5 years of supervised probation. Corbett was working for Habilitative Services Incorporated in New Ulm when the crime occurred. It was discovered that she had made hundreds of dollars in purchases with her employer’s card to PayPal and Virgin Mobile, as well as at the New Ulm Holiday Store over the course of the approximately 2 years that she was employed at HSI. She has also been ordered to write an apology letter to the company, and will be required to attend psychological counseling.
