The Henderson Chamber of Commerce has a new president, effective immediately. Mike Kunkel works at the Henderson Branch of the First State Bank of Le Center, and has been a chamber member for 5 years. He takes over as head of the Henderson Chamber following last year’s resignation of Jeff Steinborn, who successfully ran for a seat on the Henderson City Council. Chamber Vice President Loren Edberg had assumed the presidential duties in the meantime. Kunkel says he doesn’t plan any big changes in the near future, and Chamber meetings will still be held on the last Wednesday of each month.
