The Mankato man whose home was surrounded by a SWAT team last week after he allegedly threatened 3 women with a shotgun has been charged with domestic assault and making terroristic threats. 25-year-old Jordon VanRyswyk says that the women who accused him of threatening them on Friday were his ex-girlfriend and two of her friends, and that he had felt harassed by the women and got his shotgun in order to demand they get off his property. He told police that there was no ammunition for the weapon in his home. VanRyswyk had reportedly gone to a friend’s house after allegedly threatening the women, so he was not home when the residence was surrounded by police. He returned a short time later and was arrested. A search of his home following the incident turned up drugs and drug paraphernalia as well.
