A 30-year-old Mankato man is in custody following a high-speed car chase early Wednesday morning that ended with a major crash. A Mankato police officer had tried to pull over Brandon Michael Hall for several traffic violations at just after 4am, but Hall instead attempted to flee at a high rate of speed. The chase ended up going down a dead-end road in Mankato, but Hall didn’t stop. Instead, authorities say he launched his vehicle over the end of the road and it rolled end over end. Hall then attempted to flee on foot, but was apprehended a short distance away and taken to the Blue Earth County Jail. He’s facing possible charges of fleeing police, criminal vehicular operation, DWI, and driving after revocation. Hall is formerly from Hanska, and was in trouble last year as well after kidnapping and assaulting his girlfriend, which led to a standoff with police. He accepted a plea deal in that case, and a prison sentence as stayed.
