The trial of a rural Belgrade man accused of murdering a Paynesville man with his father got underway on Friday. 47-year-old Timothy Huber, along with his father Delbert Huber, both faced 1st and 2nd-degree murder charges for the death of Timothy Larson, whose widow took the stand in Timothy Huber’s trial Friday. Debra Larson testified that her husband had tried being nice to the Hubers, but the relationship soured over accusations the Larsons were letting people hunt on the Hubers land. She was the first of 11 witnesses scheduled to testify in the murder trial for the October 2011 killing. The 82-year-old Delbert Huber was convicted of 2nd-degree murder and sentenced to more than 30 years in prison last September.
